Privacy Policy
This policy describes what data Tavolata collects, why, and how it's protected. Tavolata is operated from Switzerland by the Tavolata team. The service is free.

What we collect
Account: email, password (hashed), display name, language preference. Content you create: recipes (titles, descriptions, ingredients, steps, tags, optional source URLs). Crew membership: which crews you join, who is a member, daily swipes and matches. Device data: push notification token (only if you enable notifications), last active timestamp (used to suppress pushes while you are using the app).
Why we use it
To provide the core service: sign-in, syncing your recipes across devices, sharing them with crew members, surfacing the swipe deck, recording matches, and sending you push notifications about likes and matches if you opted in.
Processors and third parties
Your account, recipes, swipes, matches, and crew data are stored with Supabase in a Swiss region. The only data that leaves Switzerland is push-notification delivery: notification tokens and short payloads pass through Apple Push Notification service (iOS) and Firebase Cloud Messaging / Google (Android), which operate outside Switzerland. We don't sell your data and don't run third-party analytics or ad SDKs in the app.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export, and delete your data at any time. The Crew tab includes a 'Delete account' action that wipes your profile, recipes, swipes, push tokens, and crew memberships. For other requests, write to . You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). If you're in the EU or EEA, you may instead contact your national data-protection authority.
Retention
Active account data is kept as long as the account exists. Deleted recipes stay in trash for 30 days, then are removed permanently. Deleting the account erases all personal data without delay.
Children
Tavolata is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If we materially change this policy, we will update the effective date and prompt you in the app at next launch. Continued use after the change means you accept the updated policy.
